Radio experienceable interactively

For the anniversary of the Austrian radio station, Ö1, we held an “interactive” documentation, in cooperation with ORF, which allowed radio to be visually experienceable.

40 Years of Ö1. This special event inspired ORF to arrange a documentation of the phenomenon of radio. But, how can something that can otherwise only be heard, be visually represented? For this, we designed the listening space as a virtual universe made up of pictorial clusters. Each cluster concealed a thematic focus or an interview, which could be selected and started via iFrame, without contact. This setup was then filmed and reworked, in order to create the desired effect of a virtual space with a reference to reality.

The documentation was broadcasted on October 14th at 9:30 a.m. on the ORF2 show, Matinee.
